Helping our Communities to Take on Life and Live Well!

MVP Health Care is Wellness.  We are committed to making a positive impact on the health and wellness of our customers, and the communities we serve in Vermont, New Hampshire and much of New York State.

This year, our community relations efforts primarily focus on a very serious health issue, childhood obesity. Our goal is to make a difference by encouraging youth to stay active through our support of youth sports.  MVP Health Care is continuing our partnerships with U.S Olympian and Women’s Professional Soccer league star Abby Wambach, and Rochester Knighthawks Lacrosse player and Syracuse University Women’s Lacrosse coach Gary Gait who will be carrying our “Take On Life and Live Well” message to young people throughout the Northeast, through our KidPower program.

Whether it’s hurtling toward victory at a championship race, or teaching our area children how to stay safe while riding their bicycles, we continually strive for two goals: grow the sport, and increase awareness of our sponsors. Click to learn more about the MVP Cycling program.

MVP Health Care is also proud of our over 1,700 coworkers that make a difference in their home communities by volunteering, and participating in our Team MVP program that encourages coworkers to support charitable events benefiting not-for-profit organizations such as the American Lung Association, Junior Achievement, American Diabetes Association, and many more.

MedSCOPE: A Partnership in Health Education

As part of MVP Health Care’s ongoing mission to help improve the health and quality of life for area residents, in 2008 MVP partnered with the Albany Medical Center’s Medical Student Community Outreach for Prevention and Education program and AMC’s emergency department. MedSCOPE offers medical students an opportunity to address the unmet health care needs of Albany’s underserved population.

Since MVP began supporting Medscope more than 1,700 medical students and staff have visited dozens area schools and neighborhoods. MedSCOPE participants provide health care to those in greatest need and teach children about healthy living by bringing educational programs to their schools and neighborhoods.
