As a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO)*, MVP Gold offers comprehensive benefits and Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage, plus:

MVP GoldAnywhere: more freedom
As a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) health plan, MVP GoldAnywhere offers flexibility and choice health care coverage:
- See any doctor, anywhere, anytime. No referrals are needed. Choose any family doctor or specialist (some services require a "prior authorization," or approval)
- Lower your out-of-pocket costs by seeing a doctor within the MVP network of health care professionals, which includes more than 5,500 doctors and all the hospitals in our service area.

MVP Gold and MVP GoldAnywhere are offered in Albany, Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Columbia, Cortland, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Herkimer, Madison, Montgomery, Oneida, Onondaga, Orange, Oswego, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Tioga, Ulster, Warren and Washington counties.
MVP contracts with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to offer MVP Gold Medicare Advantage plans – providing people with new choices in how they receive their Medicare benefits. This special section of MVP's website provides direct pay members with detailed information on MVP Gold and MVP GoldAnywhere.

Simple and easy to use
As an MVP Gold and MVP GoldAnywhere member:
- You will have a membership card and a Medco prescription drug card (if you join our Part D prescription drug plan).
- Always carry and show your MVP Gold or MVP GoldAnywhere membership card when you visit your doctor and pay your copayments or coinsurance.
Our Member Services team can answer your questions about benefits and your coverage for past and future health care procedures. Member Services offers:
- A real person to give personal attention to your questions about your health care coverage – no automated phone trees.
- A dedicated Member Services team experienced in serving Medicare Advantage health plan members.
- Toll-free phone service weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. From November 15 through March 1, phone representatives also are available weekends from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Timely, accurate answers based on your particular health plan questions – we take the time to listen, and make sure you understand the answers.
The premium and benefit packages for MVP Gold and MVP GoldAnywhere may change at the beginning of each calendar year. They will not change during the calendar year unless the change is to the advantage of our members.
Am I eligible to join?
You are eligible to apply for MVP Gold or MVP GoldAnywhere if you:
- Are entitled to Medicare Part A (hospital) and enrolled in Medicare Part B (medical) you must continue to pay your Part B premium.
- Live in Albany, Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Columbia, Cortland, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Herkimer, Madison, Montgomery, Oneida, Onondaga, Orange, Oswego, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady Schoharie, Tioga, Warren, Ulster or Washington county.
- Have end-stage renal disease and are already covered by MVP Health Plan, Inc., or if you have had end-stage renal disease and have had a successful kidney transplant.
