Dietary Guidelines

One of the most important factors in staying healthy, feeling good and mainting strong bones and muscles is eating a healthy diet. The 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend eating a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and nonfat dairy products.

These guidelines, developed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), are updated every 5 years to promote health and reduce risk for major chronic diseases.
