Did you know that walking briskly for three hours a week or exercising vigorously for one and half hours per week could help reduce your risk for heart disease?
Being more active can lower your blood pressure by as much as 49 points. This reduction can be the difference between clinically having high blood pressure or not.
Three 10-minute periods of activity are almost as beneficial to your overall fitness as one 30-minute session. So if you can't find 30 minutes in your day to exercise split it up into two or three sessions. This may make it easier for you to find the time to exercise.
For those who like to exercise outside, the cold winter months can be a challenge. Be creative. Bundle up and get out into the fresh air!
Be sure to check with your physician before you start any exercise program. If he/she gives you the go ahead then get up and get moving.
