The Personal Health Improvement Program (PHIP)" offered by Mertech Health Care Consulting for MVP, helps people who aren't feeling as well as they would like due to major life changes, work and home responsibilities, the pressure of coping with a disease treatment plan or other stressful events. Research shows that physical symptoms such as headache, chronic pain, fatigue and other discomfort can be related to everyday stress and moods. If you've been suffering from stress-related discomfort and think it's about time you felt better, PHIP may be the answer for you.

PHIP is a course or interactive class that meets for 2 hours each week for 6 weeks. The course takes place in a classroom setting with other people who have stress-related discomfort.

The class leaders are health professionals who understand how moods and behavior can affect your body and cause you to feel stress-related discomfort. This is the "mind-body" connection.

Here is what some of our MVP members said after they completed the course:

  • "I'm beginning to see how my physical symptoms and moods are related to certain events in my life...I'm learning that I have a choice about what to do."
  • "I am more aware of the way my body responds to situations. I am able to focus on the present rather than the past or future."
