Fifty percent of diseases are preventable, and 80 percent of health care spending goes to the 15 percent of the people who are the sickest and about 60 percent of next year's high cost population comes from this year's lower cost population. Clearly, if we can prevent more disease, we can make people healthier and spend less money on health care.
