Dr. Reed, an experienced health care leader and advisor, brings expertise from across the health care continuum to MVP’s Board. From 2011 until his retirement in 2023, Dr. Reed served as the first President and CEO of St. Peter’s Health Partners where he oversaw the successful merger of Northeast Health, St. Peter’s Health Care Services, and Seton Health to form the region’s largest and most comprehensive not-for-profit network of advanced medical care, primary care, rehabilitation, and senior services. His background also includes practicing as a board-certified family practice physician and an extensive business career in finance for large, publicly traded corporations.

Dr. Reed earned his undergraduate degree from Amherst College and then attended The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania where he obtained his MBA. He earned his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College where he received numerous clinical prizes and awards. Dr. Reed has previously served on various health care related boards that cover the full spectrum of the industry. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Pioneer Bancorp, Inc.
