Karla Austen’s early days as a soccer and lacrosse player have instilled in her both a competitive spirit that drives her toward success and a belief in the importance of teamwork to achieve goals. Both of those are applied daily to her role as Chief Financial Officer. A CPA by trade and a skilled collaborator, Karla ensures that our relationships with providers and vendor partners are strong, that our products are priced right for the people we serve, and that our bottom line remains healthy. She is driven by business acumen and a deep commitment to accomplishing something rather than just counting it—which makes her a perfect fit for our mission-driven, not-for-profit health plan.
