January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month and is a great time to raise awareness about how women can protect

The 2025 Gaps in Care (GIC) program will resume on May 19, 2025. Providers should begin submissions with the GIC report showing claims through March 2025. This will allow us to capture of all first quarter services.

Things to remember for the 2025 MVP GIC measurement year:

  • BCS-E: Measure compliance runs through December 31, 2025. Mammograms outside of this measurement period cannot be accepted, and the breast imaging must be bilateral. Breast ultrasounds are not admissible
  • CCS-E: When a patient presents for STI or pregnancy testing, please address cervical cytology screening when over-due
  • COL-E: When a patent refuses a colonoscopy, remember to offer an FOBT testing alternative. Consider stocking the various FIT kits and guaiac cards in office
  • GSD: Submit the final HA1c result in 2025
  • EED: Consider making patients’ retinal exam appointments with an eye care provider as they check-out of an office visit; request exam report be sent to your office. You may alternatively provide this form for patients to bring to that appointment
  • BPD: Submit the final BP reading in 2025. If that reading shows an SBP ≥140 OR a DBP ≥90, schedule a repeat reading q2w until the value(s) are controlled, then submit that reading as the latest in 2025
  • KED: Both eGFR blood test and uACR urine test in 2025 must be submitted for measure compliance
