At any given moment, more than 50 million women in the United States are experiencing menopause. Women in their 40s and 50s may find themselves navigating symptoms like hair shedding, brain fog, mood swings, and hot flashes. For primary care and gynecology practices, these and other symptoms may impact the daily lives of many of your patients. To help complement your in-person care, Elektra Health is now an in-network Provider for MVP Members*.
As a virtual care platform, Elektra offers 1:1 care, support, and education to women experiencing menopause symptoms. With Elektra, Members may schedule a virtual visit with a board-certified, menopause-trained clinician to talk about their symptoms and get answers to their questions. Elektra’s clinical team is comprised of Medical Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Certified Nurse Practitioners, Family Nurse Practitioners, and Women’s Health Practitioners.
Members may connect with Elektra for:
- Virtual visits with a clinician, plus ongoing support from a “menopause doula”
- Personal care and wellness plans that suit their lifestyle
- Evidence-based education available on-demand
- Lab orders and prescriptions, as needed (including hormonal and non-hormonal treatments, and evidence-based supplements)
Members may get more information, or schedule a visit, by visiting here.
Elektra clinicians are happy to collaborate with you and other members of your patient’s care team to ensure holistic, comprehensive, evidenced-based care for the best possible outcomes. The clinical team can communicate through call, fax, and email. Elektra also offers secure, direct communication with clinical practices that have an EHR that syncs with Athena.
*Please note, clinical telemedicine care with Elektra is currently available to MVP Members in New York State. However, Members outside of New York who are unable to meet with an Elektra clinician may still access the Elektra platform for menopause education and to speak with a menopause guide to develop a personal wellness plan. Members are encouraged to take their wellness plan to their Provider for further guidance and care.
